4th Annual Back to School Backpacks, Barbers, & Books – Oh My!

Ready to go back to school? We are too! Join us on Sunday, August 24 at for our 4th Annual Backpack Giveaway!

There will be haircuts by The Lost Art Barbershop, a selection of books to choose from and take home, and backpacks stuffed with all the back-to-school essentials, and more – all free! And don’t forget to have your picture taken with Wally the Chicken!

Please note: Children must be present to receive a backpack, haircut, and books. All giveaways will be available while supplies last.

In addition to backpacks and haircuts, families can enjoy the following:

• Interactive readings and talk backs with local authors Winsome Bingham, Priya Gupta, and Luisana Duarte Almendàriz, each giving away free copies of their books. Hosted by the CT Association of School Librarians and the Center for Literacy Research and Reading Success at the State Department of Education
• Tools and resources for clean teeth from MagicLand Pediatric Dental 
• Low blood sugar kits and resources from ElbowBumpKid for families living with type 1 diabetes
