Each Saturday features a unique artistic team, pairing a dance style to get you on your feet and techniques in art-making as they create new materials for their annual event. Stay tuned to the website and social media for surprise guests.

Checkmate in 5 is a five-part series of immersive chess tournaments, there are 2 tiers, featuring art installations, live experiences, and embodied’ strategy—pivoting across Connecticut and foreshadowing the unveiling of Ashley the Creator’s new body of work and exclusive product release.

The first tier is contestants who will be competing to win a trophy designed/sculpted by Artist Ashley the Creator.

The second tier is general, non-competitive but open to friendly games of chess whenever a chess set it open.

Enjoy an evening of decorating sugar cookies with Loren from StidYums!! Together we will practice basic royal icing piping and filling techniques, and YOU will walk away with these 5 beautifully decorated cookies. No experience is needed. All supplies will be provided. Class will take place in the conference room promptly at the start time of the class.

Oscar Aydin is a NYC based comedian and host known for his unfiltered “rainbow pushing” style. He’s been seen on Bravo, Netflix, BBC, Daily Mail, and as guest commentator on Amazon. He is a regular across NYC clubs including The Stand & New York Comedy Club and has performed on stages alongside Nikki Glaser, Anthony Jeselnik and Andrew Schulz. He’s also featured across the US for comedians such as Ashley Hesseltine, Hannah Berner and Jessica Kirson. His audacious personality has won over both live and digital crowds, leaving them saying “Oh Oscar!!” and steadily coming back for more.

Ayesheh Mae is a CT-based comic who is very crass and loves emo music. She currently produces the successful Filthy Comedy which she runs all on her own. She runs shows at breweries all across the state, and has also performed at COMIX at Mohegan Sun, the Grisley Pear, and Broadway Comedy Club in NYC, and recently performed in the Portland Comedy Festival.

Doug Key has been featured on Comedy Central Digital, SiriusXM radio, MTV, VH1, ABC, and has made cameos in the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime comedy series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and in the recent Oscar nominated Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown.” His debut comedy special, Mark Normand Presents: Doug Key “Mother of the Year” premiered last year on Normand’s YouTube channel with nearly one million subscribers. The audio album version of Key’s “Mother of the Year” debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and topped Amazon Prime’s Best Sellers List. Key has headlined comedy clubs all over the country and traveled internationally as the sole supporting act for Mark Normand during his sold out European theater tour.

Alan Moreau first honed his comedic chops riding the bench for his college basketball team and has since parlayed his quick wit into a standup career. Audiences never experience the same set twice when the Rhode Island native is on stage, as he is able to turn a standard show into a one of a kind conversation. Alan has been a featured performer in festivals like the Rogue Island Comedy Festival, Mutiny, Whale City Comedy Festival, and DC Comedy Festival among others. He has opened for numerous national acts such as Mark Normand, Joe List, and Jenny Zigrino. When Alan is not on stage he is training NBA basketball players, mentoring the youth, or taking a nap.

Brian Wayne is a rising comic based out of SouthCoast Massachusetts. Despite only having a year under his belt, he’s quickly making a name for himself in the New England comedy scene. He’s already performed on Rogue Island Comedy Fest shows at The George and Ragged Island Brewing Co., as well as Paperback Comedy shows in Cape Cod.Brian’s comedy is personal and draws heavily on talking about himself and his sobriety, his family life with his wife and daughter, his parents and growing up in New Bedford, MA. He’s known for being incredibly relatable onstage, and also for his uncanny resemblance to Alec Baldwin. Brian is one of the hardest working new comics on the scene and it’s evident as he continues to push himself and get funnier every time he hits the stage.
